SBOA-NJ Horse Show Grand Champion
GW Burnt Toast, a yearling colt by No Nukes, was chosen grand champion of the 43rd annual horse show sponsored by the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey in 2005. NJ Standardbred of the Year
Mr Muscleman, sired by Muscles Yankee, was selected as the New Jersey Standardbred of the Year for 2005. The five-year-old trotting gelding, won 12 of 14 races and earned $1,364,220 for the year. Bred by Spar J Stables and Brittany Farms, Mr Muscleman is owned by Adam Victor and Son Stable, trained by Noel Daley and driven by Ron Pierce. The award was presented by the Equine Advisory Board of the State Department of Agriculture upon the recommendation of the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey, which registers all New Jersey stallions for breeding. The sire, Muscles Yankee, stands at Perretti Farms in Cream Ridge. (Lisa Photo, Inc.)

N.J. Breeder of the Year 2004

Miss New Jersey Pace Winner’s Circle

Rocknroll Hanover
Rocknroll Hanover, shown with Brian Sears driving, won the $500,000 SBOA of New Jersey Pacing Classic for 2005 in 1:51 over a muddy Meadowlands racetrack . Sired by the registered New Jersey stallion Western Ideal, who stands at Hanover Shoe Farms of New Jersey in Lambertville, the colt was bred by Hanover and trained by Brett Pelling for co-owners Jeffrey Snyder and Lothlorien Equestrian Center at the time of the race. Since that race, William J. Perretti has become a co-owner, with Rocknroll Hanover scheduled to stand at stud at his Perretti Farms in Cream Ridge, NJ. Ideal News
Ideal News, sired by Western Ideal, was the 2005 winner of the $200,000 Miss New Jersey Pace, filly companion race to the Pacing Classic, in 1:53.3 over the muddy Meadowlands oval. David Miller drove the filly for trainer Joe Holloway and the co-owners and co-breeders, Brittany Farms and Val D’Or Farms. Helen Smith Memorial Filly Trot
Ticket To Glide, a daughter of Yankee Glide, won the $83,000 Helen Smith Memorial Trot for three-year-old New Jersey-sired fillies in 1:57.3 at Freehold Raceway on August 19. Charles I. Smith Memorial Trot
Strong Yankee, with Brian Sears driving, scored an easy victory in the $108,000 Charles I. Smith Memorial for
New Jersey-sired three-year-old trotting colts and geldings on October 21 in 1:58 at Freehold Raceway. The Muscles Yankee-sired colt led from start to finish, winning by six lengths for the Strong Yankee Stable and trainer Trond Smedshammer. Strong Yankee also won the $292,000 Yonkers Trot, a Trotting Triple Crown race, in

Western Ace, a son of Western Ideal, set a 1:53:2 track record for two-year-old pacing geldings at Freehold Raceway with a 3-length victory in the $160,000 Lou Babic Memorial for New Jersey-sired pacers on September 24.
