LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: Interstate License Compact
|
New Jersey is now the 11th state to become a member of the Interstate Compact for Horse Racing Licensees, joining New York, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, California and Virginia, among others. As a result of a bill signed into law by Governor Jon Corzine, owners and trainers in New Jersey can now obtain one multi-jurisdictional license covering all 11 states through National Racing Compact. This program will give those who need licenses in numerous states the option to do so and only be fingerprinted once. There is a $75 fee, in addition to each state fee.
Applications for these Compact licenses can be obtained through the New Jersey Racing Commission, at www.racinglicense.com or email the Compact at nrcsupport@racinglicense.com.
Further information can be obtained from
