2010 GREEN ACRES
The Green Acres Series consists of four legs and a final. In 2010 all Green Acre races will be held at Freehold Raceway. All legs will race for a purse of $10,000 EXCEPT that in the event that 10 horses enter any Green Acres leg, the Sire Stakes and racetrack management reserve the right to divide the field into two divisions of five horses with each division racing for $7,500. Furthermore, in the event that five or fewer horses enter a Green Acres leg, the purse for such race shall be $7,500. Regardless of points earned and/or race dates, a horse may only race in either a Green Acres Final or a Premier Final, BUT NOT BOTH, at Free- hold Raceway. Starters to be declared at the track where the race is to be con- tested at the same time as in practice for overnight events for that day’s pro- gram. Starters must meet all track qualifying standards.
Horses starting in a specific numbered leg of a Premier division cannot race in the same numbered leg of the Green Acres division. Horses starting in a specific numbered leg of a Green Acres division cannot race in the same numbered leg of the Premier division. Competing in the final of a division shall disqualify the horse from competing in all subsequently scheduled legs and final of the other division.
