EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- December 21, 2024 -- Due to poor track conditions, Saturday night’s 14-race program at The Meadowlands was canceled after the first race.
“The cold temperatures [with a real-feel of 11 degrees] and strong winds [with gusts to 26 mph] created an icy track,” said track Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Jason Settlemoir. “Our policy is always safety first, so for the good of our horses and drivers, we felt it was best to cancel the remainder of the program.”
Live racing at The Big M will resume Friday at 6:20 p.m.
