BRANDON BLVD MOVES UP TO NO.1 IN HAMBLETONIAN SOCIETY/BREEDERS CROWN POLL

HIGHTSTOWN, NJ -- July 22, 2026 -- Brandon Blvd took over the No. 1 spot in the Week 6 Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released Wednesday, but it’s crowded at the top.

 

Brandon Blvd, who did not race last week, moved from second to first after No. 1 Loua Dipa finished fourth in her Delvin Miller Adios elimination this past Saturday. Brandon Blvd is the fourth different horse to hold the top spot in the rankings, following Odds On Mr Mamba (Weeks 1 and 2), Loua Dipa (Weeks 3 and 5) and Miki And Minnie (Week 4).

 

On To Norway, also idle last week, went from third to second as Loua Dipa dropped to third. Rounding out the top five were Adios elimination winner Odds On Mr Mamba and Grade 3 Cleopatra Invitational winner Miki And Minnie.

 

The top five horses in the rankings each received at least 245 points – which in a search back to 2010 has never happened – and were separated by only 40 points. On To Norway led the group with 10 first-place votes.

 

Twin B Joe Fresh, who won the Grade 3 Clara Barton, was the only other horse in last week’s Top 10 to race. She moved from ninth to seventh in the poll. Lexus Kody, who won the Grade 2 Spirit of Massachusetts with a world-record performance, joined the Top 10, at No. 9.

 

Ervin Hanover, who was idle, dropped out of the Top 10.

 

The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which will continue weekly on Wednesdays through the Grand Circuit season, does not determine year-end awards. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year, and Horse of the Year.

 

Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
