EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- September 29, 2026 -- For anyone interested in competing in the big events at The Meadowlands during 2027, it is imperative that they are aware that only yearlings from stallions nominated on February 15, 2026, are eligible to race at the mile oval.
“We plan to do the same thing next year by asking the stallion owners to contribute a full annual stud fee, which will make foals of 2026 yearlings of 2027 eligible to race in 2028,” said Meadowlands Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Jason Settlemoir.
Every dollar of every payment will go into the stakes event purse pool.
