LEXINGTON, KY -- January 27, 2025 -- The U.S. Harness Writers Association’s (USHWA) annual Dan Patch Awards banquet, presented by Caesars Entertainment, is set for Sunday night (Feb. 23) at Rosen Centre in Orlando, Fla. The deadline to make room reservations is Friday (Jan. 31) and can be made by using the USHWA link to the hotel’s reservations page.


The Dan Patch Awards banquet annually honors the best and brightest performers, both human and equine, of the previous season. The award winners are selected by USHWA, with all winners already having been announced except for Pacer of the Year, Trotter of the Year, and Horse of the Year, which will be revealed the night of the banquet. USHWA will hold its annual director’s meeting on Saturday (Feb. 22) and its general membership meeting the morning of the banquet.


Tickets for the Dan Patch Awards banquet are $200. There is also a reduced-priced menu option for children 12 and under. Dinner tickets can be ordered until Feb. 17 by contacting Judy Davis-Wilson at zoe8874@aol.com or 302.359.3630. Click here for the banquet tickets reservation form.


All standard rooms under the USHWA block are $209 nightly (plus applicable taxes). For room reservations, please click here for USHWA’s dedicated hotel link. After the Jan. 31 deadline, attendees must contact the Rosen Centre reservations department directly at 800.204.7234 or 407.996.9842 and ask for the Dan Patch Awards/USHWA rate.

While rooms may later become available, Friday night (Feb. 21), is currently sold out at Rosen Centre. Guests will be able to receive the same USHWA rate at Rosen Shingle Creek but must move to Rosen Centre on Saturday (Feb. 22). Guests must call Rosen Shingle Creek directly at 866.996.6338 or 407.996.6338 and ask for the Dan Patch overflow block.
