MANALAPAN, NJ — August 17, 2023 — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elsie L. Romano. Elsie L. Romano, age 90, of Barnegat, NJ passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin. Born in Passaic, NJ, she resided in Belleville, Edison, and North Brunswick before moving to Barnegat in the year 2000.
Elsie Romano was memorable to all that met her. Elsie enjoyed traveling, cooking, and hosting her family. One of her biggest joys was decorating her house for the holidays.
She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Anthony L. Romano Sr., the love of her life, her grandson, Anthony M. Romano, and her parents, Anna and Herman Boeglin. She is survived by her children, Anthony Jr. and his wife Margaret of Millstone, William and his wife Donna of Naples, FL, Robert and his wife Pam of Manchester, Linda Cassidy and her husband Tom of Spotswood, and Lauren and her husband Peter of Little Egg Harbor; her grandchildren, Nick Romano and his wife Tara, Robert Romano and his wife Courtney, Thomas Cassidy and his wife Audrey, Mina Barretto, Jaclyn Cassidy, Eric Cassidy, Danielle Boyer, and Alyssa Boyer; her great-grandchildren, Adelaide, Antonia, Thomas, and Charlotte.
Funeral arrangement have been entrusted to Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 10:00am St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church,155 William St, Belleville, NJ 07109 Belleville, NJ.
