LOCAL BREWERIES SHOWING OUT FOR MEADOWLANDS BEERFEST

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- April 7, 2026 -- The Meadowlands Racetrack's annual Beerfest takes place on Saturday, May 16th, which is also Preakness Stakes Simulcast Day. Doors open for VIP admission at 4:00 pm with General Admission at 5:00 pm, and beer is poured until 9:00 pm. It is an afternoon and evening of great craft beer and horse racing, both live harness racing and the Preakness Stakes. 

 

Though over sixty breweries and cideries are participating, the nineteen New Jersey breweries pouring at the event are a true highlight of the festival.

 

New to this year’s festival are Leaning Fathers Brewing of Brick, Asturia Brewing Company out of Hackensack, Hoboken’s own Hoboken Brewing Company, and Carton Brewing from the Atlantic Highlands. 

 

MudHen Brewing Company of Wildwood, Czig Meister Brewing of Hackettstown, and Double Tap Brewing of Whippany are all returning to the festival for their second year. 

 

Long-time Meadowlands Beer Fest participants Bolero Snort, Departed Soles, and Ghost Hawk will be on-site pouring their thirst-quenching brews.

 

Fan favorites Seven Tribesmen, Montclair Brewery, Bonesaw Brewing, and Untied Brewing Co will also pour a variety of brews.

 

Flying Fish Brewing, based in Somerdale; Jersey Girl Brewing from Hackettstown; RiverHorse Brewing from Ewing Township; and Jersey Shore-based Slack Tide will also be served.

The Annual Beer Fest will be held in the Backyard and on the East Apron and will open to the public at 4:00 pm for VIP admission. General Admission begins at 5:00 pm and is available in advance for $45 or at the door for $50. The VIP ticket is $70 and includes an additional 1 hour of sampling, exclusive VIP Tent beer samplings, and food. Live harness racing will commence at 6:35 pm.

 

New Jersey Craft Beer Club members will receive a free $10 betting voucher when they show their card at the festival entrance. Must be 21+ to attend
