CHESTERFIELD, NJ — July 16, 2026 -- On Wednesday (June 15) group of local preschool children experienced the thrilling world of equestrian sports firsthand during a special interactive educational day hosted by the Chris Ryder Stable at Winners International Farms.

The event introduced the young guests to the basics of harness racing while providing a hands-on look at life on a championship standardbred training farm.

The carefully curated day featured a blend of agricultural education and classic farm fun, including:

  • Harness Racing 100: A youth-friendly introduction to standardbred horses and racing equipment.
  • Miniature Drives: Interactive demonstrations with miniature harness ponies.
  • Barn Tours: A guided walk through the stables to see how racehorses are cared for daily.
  • Pony Rides: Gentle, supervised rides tailored specifically for preschool-aged children.
  • Petting Zoo: Up-close interactions with a variety of friendly farm animals.
  • Gator Rides: Exciting utility vehicle rides around the scenic farm grounds.

Following the activities, the children enjoyed a complimentary lunch. Before departing, each young guest received a special gift bag filled with educational materials and horse-themed souvenirs to remember their day at the track.

"Our goal was to share our passion for harness racing with the next generation in a fun, safe, and memorable way," said Patrick Ryder. "Seeing the children’s faces light up around these amazing animals is exactly why we love hosting these educational community events."
