EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- July 24, 2025 -- The Meadowlands Racetrack will move the Friday, July 25 qualifiers to 5 pm because of the predicted heat index.
The two non-wagering races will remain scheduled for 6:00 p.m., with live racing beginning at 6:20 p.m.
“The safety of our horses and the horsemen are our top priority,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO/GM of the Meadowlands Racetrack. “After some discussion, it was determined that moving the qualifiers later in the day was the best option.”
Horsemen and guests are also reminded to allow for extra travel time on Saturday, July 26, when coming to the track, due to two soccer games at MetLife Stadium (4 pm and 7 pm).
