MANALAPAN, NJ — September 4, 2026 -- The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey and Meadowlands Racetrack are pleased to announce they are working to create new races for the last weekend in July and the first weekend of August 2027 at the Meadowlands. The proposed race cards will once again bring some of the best horses in the sport to the Big M and continue a half-century tradition of offering premier summer stakes races for harness racing participants and fans in conjunction with the Hambletonian Society.
Full details will be provided in the weeks to come, but the SBOANJ and Meadowlands want to share this news now so breeders in the Garden State and owners everywhere understand before this fall's yearling sales that we are working together to ensure the continuation of world class racing at the Meadowlands.
