EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- August 23, 2023 -- Live horse racing returns to the Meadowlands Racetrack on Friday, September 1st and runs through Saturday, September 9th with a 6:20pm post time. The September meet is highlighted by the NJ Classic Series.
Saturday, September 2nd is a visit from the Mini Ponies! Fans can meet mini ponies Odin, Solstice, Stormy and Angel in the Backyard and then watch them race the track in a fun charity race. On September 9 it is the track’s first Stake and Steaks night. Teams compete in two steak cook-off categories plus bonus bacon and margarita categories. This first-time event is run by the Steak Cookoff Association, “building the sport of steak cook-offs!” Those interested in competing can register here
