THE RECIPIENTS HAVE BEEN NAMED FOR THE 2026 SCHORSHIPS AWARDED BY THE STANDARDBRED BREEDERS & OWNERS ASSOCIATION OF NEW JERSEY (SBOANJ) AND THE BACKSTRETCH COMMUNITY ASSITANCE PROGRAM (BCAP)

MANALAPAN, NJ — July 14, 2026 — The recipients have been named for the 2026 scholarships awarded by the Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ) and the Backstretch Community Assistance Program (BCAP).

This year's recipients are Ava Jo Hayes, attending Gettysburg College; Christopher Pazdan, attending University of Kentucky; Ryley Fusco, attending University Of NC - Charlotte; Kyra Suleski, attending University of Tampa; and Colin Height, attending Fordham University.

The scholarships were awarded based on academic excellence, community service, financial need, and affiliation with the New Jersey Standardbred industry.

All students that received the scholarships are enrolled in the upcoming fall semester.

The SBOANJ and BCAP congratulate the winners and their families and wish them success in their future academic careers.
