CRANBURY, NJ -- July 22, 2025 -- A total of 21 horses entered Tuesday for the 100th edition of the Hambletonian Stakes for 3-year-old trotters, resulting in three $83,550 eliminations on Saturday (July 26) at The Meadowlands.
Twenty-three horses entered the Hambletonian Oaks, restricted to 3-year-old trotting fillies, also resulting in three $50,000 eliminations Saturday at The Big M.
The top three finishers from each elimination plus the fourth-place finisher with the highest lifetime earnings will advance to their respective finals on Aug. 2 at The Meadowlands. The purse for the Hambletonian final is $1 million. The purse for the Hambletonian Oaks final is $500,000.
Elimination winners will draw for posts one through six.
