MANALAPAN, NJ — June 24, 2025 — The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey and the Backstretch Community Assistance Program of New Jersey will award scholarships to qualified students currently enrolled in or plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university.

Candidates must be either a son or daughter of a full-time participant in New Jersey harness racing and SBOANJ member or are themselves a full-time participant. Only one candidate per household will be considered, and there is a lifetime cap of $10,000 per individual.


Applications and a complete list of qualifications and instructions can be found on the SBOANJ website. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 27, 2025.
