USTA HAMBLETONIAN CONTENDERS' VIDEOS SLATED FOR THIS WEEK

COLUMBUS, OH -- August 3, 2026 -- The U.S. Trotting Association’s annual Hambletonian Contenders’ video series, presented by the Hambletonian Society and Winbak Farm, is scheduled to be posted on USTrotting social media throughout this week from Monday (Aug. 3) through Friday (Aug. 7).


The Grade 1, $1million Winning Key Farm Hambletonian 101 is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8 at The Meadowlands.

The videos will feature coverage of on-site preparations for all the contenders and interviews with each of the eight trainers that have an entry in the Hambletonian. Marcus Melander has three entries while each of the other seven trainers have one. Melander’s Apex (Dexter Dunn) and Anette Lorentzon’s Big Ranger (Tim Tetrick) were the winners in the Hambletonian eliminations last Saturday (Aug. 1).


Following is the tentative schedule, subject to change, for the Hambletonian Contenders’ videos this week:

 

Monday (Aug. 3) – Anette Lorentzon – Big Ranger

Tuesday (Aug. 4) – Linda Toscano – It Could Be Worse
Tuesday (Aug. 4) – Chris Beaver – Endurance

Wednesday (Aug. 5) – Marcus Melander – Apex, American Power, Spencer Hanover

Thursday (Aug. 6) – Ron Burke – AI
Thursday (Aug. 6) p.m. – Noel Daley – Minoan

Friday (Aug. 7) a.m. – Ake Svanstedt – Magic Punk
Friday (Aug. 7) p.m. – Per Engblom – Captain Naughty
